After Turkey has gained the EU membership candidate status, and Bilkent University has joined the program, CTIS department formed a committee in 2005 and started the work to facilitate the students to participate in the Erasmus Exchange Program and to improve the education quality.
At first, CTIS has signed two bilateral aggrements with two institutions, Evtek Institute of Technology in Finland and Athlone Institute of Technology in Ireland. In 2005-2006 Academic Year, two students were selected and sent to Evtek IT.
In the 2025–2026 Fall semester, 13 of our students, and in the 2025–2026 Spring semester, 2 of our students participated in ERASMUS programs, making a total of 15 students for the past academic year.
The countries preferred during the 2025–2026 Fall and Spring semesters were Finland (Metropolia, Haaga-Helia), Croatia (RIT), and Ireland (SETU).

In the 2026–2027 Fall semester, 12 of our students, and In the 2026–2027 Spring semester, 4 of our students will participate in ERASMUS programs.
Also two of our students will attend the Bilateral Exchange Program in 2025_2026 FALL semester. One of them will attend National University of Singapore in Singapore and the other will attend Queen's University in Canada.
The countries where our students will be participating in 2026–2027 Fall and Spring semesters are Portugal (University of Lisbon), Finland (Metropolia, Haaga-Helia), Ireland (SETU), and Croatia (RIT).
